Niels nods, "I see. If that's the case, go east and once you're at the Keep. Ask for an audience with the steward, I'm afraid I've got little say in the matter. If you need anything else, I shall be here."
(( Posting is a little slow, please pick it up ))

As you head to the keep on the eastern fringe of town, you notice the amount of city guards rapidly increasing, each one of them eying you warily. After all, you do stick out amongst the throng of commoners.
Upon reaching the keep you see the plain stone citadel to be adorned with the orange and white banners of Adra. The spires climb high and the keep, in all honesty, is rather large for such a small city.
Five guards, all armored in chainmail with various capes and hats to avoid the arid climate, approach. A rider approaches, he too, outfitted with the orange and white of Adra dismounts from his white steed and with a half-glare intercepts the guards. His armor is of fine steel, each scale interlocking perfectly. He wears no helm but his headwrap seems ornate enough. He has very tanned skin, deep brown eyes and black curled hair, which you can barely notice under the thick wrap. He eyes the other five guards and takes control.
"I'm Captain Gerrelos and I heard rumors of visitors. We've yet to have a guest here in Mallys in quite some time that didn't arrive via Sandport to the east. Keeping the peace in such hard times is quite difficult and I hope to not hear of any disturbances during your stay, but no matter, is there anything I can help you with?"
Durahan and Ciel -
He's obviously a very charismatic speaker and his fluid speech is much above that of the average guard.
---
Shane -
Three guards on the wall-walk of the Keep are armed with crossbows and are eying you from the ramparts.

Shane will cross his arms covering his noble symbol. "What are you three looking at?"

"We are here to speak with the steward about the royal family and there condition, to see if there is anything that we can do. Is there anyway to speak to the steward at the moment."
After saying this Cruril will look at all of the gaurds that were intercepted by the captains glare with a look of, 'Wow, you really want to try something.'

Gerrelos, with a quizzical expression responds, "Why such an interest? I'm afraid I can not allow you in the Keep, but if you would like me to write your names down, I can inform the Steward you were here. He's been busy... lately. You weren't sent by some... hooded rider with a dry voice, were you? I know, it sounds silly."
He, with a gesture, puts the other guards at ease.

We might just have fewer players, controlling multiple characters, if you're still interested in this campaign, please post soon.

"We were warned about a danger from a hooded man with a dry voice who disappeared into the wind, but we have affiliation with that being, we are only concerned people."
I haven't had royalty bones before, I wonder if they are different from others?
OOC: I am still interested in this campaign.

[OOC I am in the campaign, I've just had finals this week and learning a 8point dance routine in Swing fashion isn't easy or allotting for much free time. Otherwise I would also be playing WoW as well.]

The wolf sits stoically in front of the guards, keeping a keen watch on them from behind the stout one. After the human speaks, it turns its head idly towards the sky and gazes at a flock of birds in the air.
[OOC]Yay, magical teleportation. Also, where'd the bard go?[/OOC]

(( Sastre told me he isn't going to be playing Mr. Bard anymore, pretend the bard didn't ever exist ))
Gerrelos surveys the handful of wanderers in front of him, bringing up his chained guantlets to his chin, rubbing it while pondering.
"These days, any help at all is welcome. I've a few things that have arisen recently," he says while walking to the south, indicating that you should follow him.
Inside the stone structure he leads you is a quickly-accessible armory of pikes, axes, wooden shields and leather/mail piecemeal armors as well as a few off-duty (you would assume) guards.
Gerrelos sits down and continues, "I don't think any of these have anything to do with each other, but here goes: Ever since the Nobles have fallen asleep, there has been an uprising of... creatures to the south. We're not exactly sure, I think they're ogres, but they're much smarter and do not operate like a pack... which I normally would associate with them. They always roam at night, as none of the attacks in the southern patrols occured during the day. The men who died were attacked in their sleep and ... frankly, there is no physical harm done to them. They have been encroaching further north and are almost into the Sands of Runok. That would allow them to breach our outer defenses and into the city itself. I can't tell you about our city defenses, but if you could investigate this uprising, any information would suffice, outlanders."
Gerrelos sighs and continues again, "I would be able to reward you for that, but this latter deed, I would not. Our city librarian has gone missing for at least a month. A book was stolen and she persued the thief, apparently. We took the care to archive the rest of the books, but before she left she told us that they didn't matter, only that she wanted to retrieve this book from 'The Sand Rider.' I am not sure who that is or where to start, but we've not had the resources to look into this matter."
He nods, "We've been doing a fair job at keeping the peace and making sure Auzir knows the limits of its borders, but too much has arisen recently. I'll tell you what, I'll put a bounty up. Those... creature of the night. A hundred gold... per head returned. More if you can bring information on how to fight them and why they persist. How does that sound?" he exclaims with a smile.
