Anyone within the vicinity of the tavern can hear this. None of the patrons seem to volunteer... for the moment.
Actions: Sariel, Faustus, Nich.

Nich will remain seated and begin to lean back on it, letting the back of the chair touch the wall as he takes a sip of his drink...

The mage ignores you, Sariel.
Upon heading into the inn, he mumbles to himself and retires to a room.
You arrive at the inn and herald the news of the hobgoblin ambushes, and about the caravan's fates.
A few human turn around, one laughs.
One of them laughs, "Ye'll get no help from us. Dane's mad. Damn him for bringing war upon us. Ask the bastard horn-head over there," indicating the tiefling, "I bet he'll kill anything for a silver, hell, he'd probably do it for free!"
The three laugh loudly and continue their cardgame. From their garb they look to be hunters, but no armor, indicating the prey probably doesn't fight back, such as rabbits, deer and such.
Beleg -
The tradesmen are preparing a caravan. Strapping some cargo to wagons and such.
A curious human with a long black beard, shaggy hair and a pickaxe looks over. "What ya looking about here for, eh?"

"Excuse me?!" Nich says to the men playing their card game "Just because you have seen one or two so called "Horned Bastards" doesn't mean that the rest of us are like that..."

The hunters grumble, one stands, "You'll meet your end if ya go with 'em tiefling. Do us a favor and help 'im out."
They other two snicker.
The barkeep shouts, "Stop badgering the other customers, if you're asking for a fight, they don't look like the type to fool around. Now sit down, shut up and drink your ale. I don't want it wasted!"
He winks at Nich.
--------
Beleg -
The gruff man frowns, "Well, I dunno if we kin help. Thing is, none of us even travel near it, so I dunno how I kin try and give ya a lift. However, there have been attacks, so we can carry ya as close as we get."

Nich looks to the bartender and says "Keep my room available for when I return."
After that Nich begins to head with the Human to the location needed... Being cautious about him in the process as well with anyone that is with him...

Pouting that the mage ignored her, Sariel instead sighs, diverting her attention to the barkeep with a smile.
"I'll have a glass of the wine, if you have it, barring that some mead from the northlands. And some bread, if you have it." Giving the barkeep a look that could swoon the heart of a barbarian, she adds, "That's not too much trouble, is it?"
Hearing the commotion behind her, Sariel ignores the plight of the pathetic human for now, not even looking around to acknowledge him. However, when she hears the voice of a Tiefling, her attention is swayed slightly. Mention of escorts needed for travelers also catches her attention. By the time the barkeep returns with her drink and bread, her attention is affixed on the situation developing at the doorway, though her motions belie that intent.
What is it that these travelers are carrying that warrants such support? Or is it the travelers themselves, or perhaps their quarry, that needs protection? Hmm... perhaps there might be some personal gain for following them. Not that I would wish to reap the rewards for their success, but...
Waiting, drinking her beverage, Sariel devises a plan of her own. When the human leaves her sight with the Tiefling in tow, Sariel will follow them a few moments later, tailing them for now but staying a good distance away from them to avoid suspicion.
[Try and seduce the barkeep (Diplomacy?/ Bluff?), Bluff to avoid letting others know where her intents lie, and possibly Bluff/ Stealth to avoid drawing suspicion from the human/ tiefling pair, acting like she's window shopping if they seem to suspect something]
