Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil
(I've decided this quest would be much more worth our time.)
Make your previous characters level 4, with 5400 gp and spend no more than 2700 gp on a single item.
Skrall - Elf Barbarian Goldfish - Human Fighter Mad Scotsman - Elf Ranger Fighter - Human Cleric Bikibuu - Human Rogue Fullmetal Gator - Human Psion
Use spell points instead of spells per day.
Ok - now you all die. *kills*
The village of Hommlet is much larger this time, approximately a thousand... almost, people. Not many adventure here anymore, your reknown group has way too much competition elsewhere.
Maybe that competition drove you away from there and now to here.
Maybe because Hommlet's lacking in adventurers and those brave souls that will fight for a righteous cause.
Maybe... it meant more gold?
Who knows, you decide, but you are here now.
The want to help others, to gain glory, to gain gold, might drive you to seek out something here, feel free to loiter around when possible.
[This quest can bring you to 11th-15th level it says, so plan accordingly]
I'll post more soon, maybe you can post some 'mini-actions' now.

Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil
Part 1 - The Town of Hommlet
Hommlet looks like a growing community now, a few hundred buildings at least, spanning a river and with several farms on the outskirts to make a fine start for a city. As you enter, several houses span both sides of the road and you are greeted warmly. A pair of guards in studded leather wave to you as you pass and a dwarf shouts loudly, "Need a place for your horses? Just a silver per night!" A halfling runs by you, almost running into your mount's legs. A half-orc leans against a post, his greataxe bouncing a reflection of mid-morning sunlight into your eyes. He snarls and turns away. A few humans argue over the price of bread and a man with grizzled hair looks over at you, his chainmail very ornate and showing the symbol of captain. He holds a battleaxe and his dress is fairly drab, the color of trees and dirt.

Going to head to the tavern for some food and drink...
"I wonder what that Half-orc was looking at"
When i get to a tavern pay the inn keeper to stay the night and put the horse in the stable, once that is done go back inside and get some food and drink....sitting in a corner table...

"This almost looks promising," says Rothgar as he gains sight of the town, riding his barded warhorse. "A bath and shave await, first," he says, scraping his espadon along his whiskers. Leaning down to the horse's ear, he murmurs, "And a brushing and oats for you, Shadow," showing a rare kindness towards his companion. Turning to the others, "Find out what you can. There is not enough jingle in my pouch."
Looking to the dwarf, he nods and fishes out a silver and tosses it to him. "Is there an inn nearby the stables?"

The dwarf nods and points east, "Yeah, the Inn of the Welcome Wench is that way, past Ashem's Earthware, Darson's smithy, then you take a left near the woodcutters at the end of this lane, go past the leatherworker and it's on your left! How'd you come to arrive at Hommlet anyways? Not much's been happening, travelers are rare now."

"We're here so that if anything does happen, we'll be the first there." Handing the dwarf the reins and another silver, he instructs, "Take care of him. He's tired." He follows the directions to the Inn of the Welcome Wench.

Peorth Requistis - Description: { Before you sits a small woman clad in a light robe of white with blue trim around the edges. The robe is unsashed, and instead the sash is banded around her waist. White silk pants cover her legs, and wooden sandles adorn her feet. Cotton wrappings cover her midsection and chest, and a small pair of simple spectacles adorn her face. Her green eyes seem to observe her surroundings, yet she doesn't say anything. Her auburn hair is tied back in a ponytail, and she has a distinct marking on her cheek and right hand. Her left hand is covered in cotton wrappings, and it holds an inkpen that writes on a notepad in her lap. She has what appears to be a mummified hand on a necklace around her neck, and a blue half-cloak of exotic make covers her left half. The sash at her waist holds a red crystal rod and a gray bag. }
[Walk around town, see if there's any interesting things afoot, using Mage Hand to keep the notepad and inkpen afloat in front of me]
[OOC: Items on person that I start with - Cloak of Resistance +1, Dorje of Energy Ray, Gray Bag of Tricks, Hand of the Mage, Cognizance Crystal (1 pp), 3 Power Stones (2 uses of Body Adjustment), 6 Power Stones (1 use of: Burst, Vigor, and Catfall), 9 pp, 9 gp, 9 sp, 10 cp]
[OOC2: Is it possible to get a character sheet thread like we have for the other threads? I mean, I don't mean to sound redundant, and if it's crowding space I can always make one on my compy and save it. I just wondered what others think]

Ok - Going ahead with initial actions.
Skrall's character name - OOC - Declare more chat than IC actions, for example - I go to the barn and talk to the goat. - That is bad; I go to the barn and say "What's up" to the goat is good. Still continuing with your action --
You pass several buildings on your way past including a shouting dwarven blacksmith claiming the quality of that steel is not worth it! He won't buy it! Another man has piles of chopped wood for sale, it appears three militia members are buying from it. A halfling child flings rocks at a target with great accuracy, several humans watch in amusement.
An elven minstrel, judging by his lyre, walks past you as you enter the tavern.
The inn of the welcome wench is well... welcoming. It has a homely atmosphere with tables where clients chat with others and a nice looking hearth, a rather warm one at that. Not that you need a fire with such lovely summer weather.
The innkeeper, an aged human male smiles, "Welcome to the inn of the welcome wench! What can I get for you, sir?"
---
Steph's character's name - Same as above.
---
Gator's character's name - You take the north path and there are many, many houses, you smell the scent of baking bread as well. A sign says 'Nem, the Sage' and you found 'Nubric's house for arcane scrolls' You can go North, South, East or West on the trails.

Looking at the innkeeper, ROTHGAR replies, "A room and a bath. A meal later." ROTHGAR opens his pouch, ready to retrieve the appropriate coins. "Seems like a quiet town...too quiet, eh?"

(Laucian Nailo Desc: Before you stands a rather normal looking elf even though he looks quite built, with silver hair, grey eyes, he is wearing a breastplate, a wide brim hat, a buckler, and has a Spiked Chain at his side...even though you dont believe that this person may be of a threat his stance tells other wise, it is one that shows experience.....)
"Yes, I am interested in some food and drink, and possibly any information about the town and any possible jobs..."

The innkeeper smiles and looks to ROTHGAR, "It has been a bit quiet, kind of like a calm before a storm. I just hope the storm never hits. Aye, let me sit. 'Tis not the same."
The man points to a much younger female, who nods, "Would you like to share the common room? We have 12 bunks in it, it is five silver for the eve, but we've special rooms for three gold, and you can get the key to the lock for one gold, per night of course. If you'd like refreshments, talk to Maridosen over there, although she's had quite a short temper recently."
The two of you notice an old, scarred robed man watching you as you enter. His left eye looks like it might not heal from a weapon slash. It's only partly open, and his other eye scrutinizes you.
The old man nods, "Aye, she's makin' the atmosphere a little less friendly, that one."
The younger female smiles, "I doubt you could make a job here, we've not had any trouble for well... since I was a little child."
The innkeeper frowns, "Yes..."

He's BAAAACK!
Suddenly, there is an Elf. He does NOT stand/sit/dance "before you"! Like three people have said "BEFORE YOU", and thus, I declare it overused. He's just sort of there, riding/walking into town with a wolf following closely at his heels. He holds a very very pretty longbow in his left hand, and you can just see the hint of a scabbard below his long brown/green cloak. His hood is up, obscuring his face, but you imagine it would look rather like the face of an elf. A male elf, with striking grey/blue eyes and longish black hair tied back in a ponytail to keep it out of the way of his bowstring. You notice that the fingers of his right glove have been cut off in order to provide him better feel for his shots, and that his left arm has a leather arm-guard to protect his wrist from the rapid releases of his bowstring during combat. Unlike most others dressed as he, he wears METAL armor with a silvery sheen, that seems to make no sound and restrict his movements not at all. It also looks like the kind of armor that would allow him to put up to 6 points of his DEX modifier towards his Armor Class. In this way, he reminds you of both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins.
Alright, Action:
Maeglin, recalling his last trip here that he never actually made, but his player remembers it, shall bury his tall(for an elf) slender form once again in the bosom of the Welcome Wench. If you want, just pretend I was hanging out with Rothgar(hehe, Hrothgar) and the Lost Nailbat... errr, Laucian Nailo the whole time.
To Captain Scarface: "How'd you come by that eye decoration mate?"
