Kreeus - God of Battle

Kreeus has temples all across Rovaniar, Kelvensfell, Wroth and Aughen. His temples show the proper way to fight battles, the rules of war, honor and dishonor and more. Although he believes that battle isn't the first priority, his teachings promote the idea that most things end in warfare and to prepare for such a time.
His enemies are Charol and Emphar.
Rovaniar Nobles have the tradition of 'giving' their sons to Kreeus to help fight Emphar for five years each. The Nobles teach their sons to fight until they are 16 to 20 years of age. They learn academics, diplomacy and others and make them proud captains of the Border Patrol. These nobles stay for five years, sometimes more, but mostly five years, before returning home to learn how to rule. Typically a Tyar won't see beyond the age of 50 or 60 so this is a priority in Tyar life.
Zyietla's interpretations of the tactics of Kreeus are quite varied. Kreeus says to show no weakness, but not to
feign weakness. Zyietla have mastered the art of 'We have more than you actually see.' and often win wars by sheer trickery. Flanking enemies with legions of hidden archers, using Imagicka wielders to break formations, ambushing patrols and other tactics allow the weak and frail Zyietla to remain a powerful force on the outskirts of the Tyar Empire.
The Kruff have a conservative interpretation of Kreeus's rules. 'Show no weakness' means have no weakness and don't try to fool others in believing this. The Kruff are well-built for war and are implacable defenders as well as great shock troops. Kruff typically emply phalanx and crossbows to weather down foes in supplies and their vanguard, while marching their own troops into melee, which usually survive much longer than the average Tyar warrior. Through determination and endurance, the Kruff win a thoughtful and slow, methodical war.
The Ethel-Mar treat Kreeus as a savior. The ones that taught them to fend off the other creatures of the surface. The Ethel-Mar, being the only prominant race that was actually created on the surface, have fought off every creature imaginable. They've learned to properly fight dragons, drakes, Krendel and others. When Emphar arrived, their tactics proved effective still, although the Ethel-Mar sustained a large amount of casualties. The Ethel-Mar believe Kreeus's blessings are bestowed upon all, which is how one is able to go to war.
The Khin usually dislike war, probably because they aren't very good at it. Once, a Tyar lord attempted to take over a City-State of Khin. He and his wife were found decorated with arrows and stabbed three times each. A note read, "No."
Incapable of using Kreeus's tactics, Khin usually use traps and other under-handed tactics to fight of enemies. They have proven to be a formidable force, but not numerous. So these nomads are usually let be.
The Yiiff aren't very spiritual at all, but a few beleive in the teachings of the Gods. Because faith and religion has little role in Yiiff society, Kreeus has little influence there, although the Goddess of magic has even less influence there, due to the Yiiff's hatred for Imagicka.
A little more fluff for you to chew on...
