Are you going to do another test run to find more bugs with it or what?

I think it shouldn't be based purley on strength it should also have agility or dexterity play a part into it as well like a quick person would be able to get in more blows or oppertunities to injure the person but do small dmg but a big person wouldn't be able to hit as often with in the same round as a quick person, but would do more dmg when they hit so they seem to be balanced out between them...

Having a high enough dexterity can actually lead to higher damage, I'll post later using 'Kerwyn' as an example.

Ok Let's take Kerwyn.
He has a melee skill of two and a dexterity of 6.
He rolls 8d8, using the rule of averages you will get half of them under 5, and half of them above 5. That means four sucesses. If the opponent scores a 1 for his defense roll [maybe a zombie] Kerwyn rolls for his strength [4d8 + d8 dagger + d8 due to rolling three above necessary]
He averages three wounds. [Modified by opponents toughness rolls]
He has been poisoned, dropping his dexterity by four.
He rolls 4d8, getting only two sucesses on average, we need an independant variable, so the defense roll is still 1, a hit.
Kerwyn rolls [4d8 + d8 for wounds] for wounding and gets on average...
2.5. Because his dexterity has been lowered.
......
Kerwyn levels up and increases his melee skill by two etc... he will get 3.5 wounds average.
Melee skill and Dexterity can add to damage, thanks to laws of averages. Ok?

Quick question: In terms of wounds, does that equal our HP? Ala, a healthy young lad with 6 hp can take 6 wounds before going splat?
EDIT: How does gator's mage have a health of 5 when he's got a toughness of 1??

He should have 4 hit points, thanks for pointing that out. Yes, when you hit 0, you must make spirit checks to keep alive, with a low spirit... your willpower will simply let you die. So, spirit is a good stat. GATOR! You effed up my abbreviations! Str, Agl, Dex, Tgh, Prs, Int, Prc, Spr !!! Suggestions for new spells would be nice, as well as new weapons.
